Boundary Scan (JTAG)
Foundation Technology is fully equipped to test printed circuit boards using Boundary Scan (JTAG) methods.
Boundary Scan (JTAG) tests for shorts/opens between compliant devices. (ISP, Flash programming, logic/memory clusters etc).
Most of today's boards are very densely populated with components and tracks; it is very difficult for test systems to access the relevant areas of the board to enable them to test the board. Boundary scanning makes this possible.
Advantages to Boundary Scan (Jtag):
- Field deployable
- Good coverage of compliant devices
- Relatively low Non-Recurring Engineering costs for standard tests
Foundation Technology's Current configuration:
- JTAG Technologies (Hardware):
- PM3705
- JT3710 with PF2137 Industrial and PF2137 Bench top
- JT3737 with JT2148 QuadPod™
- DIOS modules PF2111 (2 off)
- Own design:
- PMC test board
- VME bus interface cables to DIOS modules
